Keith D. Ignotz, MBA
Mr. Ignotz is a senior corporate executive with over 30 years of experience in the global healthcare marketplace and with 15 such years in the diabetes space. Currently Mr. Ignotz is President and CEO of OcuMedic, Inc. an ophthalmic drug delivery company. Previously he was co-founder President and CEO of Freedom Meditech, Inc. a company he recently sold to a large Chinese diabetes care company. Prior to that he was the President and CEO of DiaKine Therapeutics, Inc. a small molecule drug development company developing diabetes therapeutics.
Mr. Ignotz co-founded SpectRx, Inc. as President and COO, a venture backed company that went public on NASDAQ shortly after funding. Prior to that he was a Senior Vice President at Allergan Humphrey a $100M division of Allergan and served as President of Allergan Humphrey GMBH, Germany and President of Humphrey Instrument Smith Kline Beckman Japan, KK. Mr. Ignotz has served on numerous life science private and public company boards. He has been a trustee of Salus University (a medical school) in Philadelphia since 1990 and is Chairman of the Intuitional Advancement Committee, Member of the Executive Committee and member of the University Foundation Board, Mr. Ignotz is a member of American Marketing Association and the American Association of Diabetes Education. Mr. Ignotz earned a B.A. in Sociology and Political Science from the San Jose State University and a MBA from Pepperdine University with a focus on emerging medical technologies.
